Through the Fire

Isa 43:1-3 But now, this is what the LORD says — he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters,I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.

When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead.

I got a call at 2.57 am here- Patrick is with Jesus as of 6.07 pm Sudan time. Thank you for your love, your support and your prayers. Please keep them coming for our team and especially Betty in this time. I will not be able to make it back for the funeral Tuesday as travel time is a minimum of 5 days from here, but will be writing a message to be read in my absence.

Despite a bush fire set by neighbor boys that burned our entire compound and threatened all our buildings yesterday (it came closest to burning down my house) not a building was touched and God raised a wind to blow it off our compound after 5 hours of fighting the flames. The team is in good spirits despite the challenges.

I just talked with them and they are doing well even in the middle of a stormy season. I know all of heaven is backing them up and is so so proud of their hearts, hard work and perseverance… as am I. I thank Jesus for our family there every day and miss them deeply, especially in times like these.

God is moving mightily here as well in OZ. Please keep all of us in prayer. Again thank you for standing with us in this time. We love and thank Jesus for you, Michele
